Today’s practice wasn’t fully attended, with only 3 students, resulting in a total of 4 people in attendance. With this, Eric and Tanner (two of the four people) started the practice with a more cosmetic approach by replacing some piping on the T-shirt Cannon Robot. This helped both make the pipes more condensed into the Robot to make the pipes not look like they are everywhere. Also, they raised one of the pipes to the barrels to match the height of the one next to it. Meanwhile, Grayson and Dave (the other two of the four people) worked on an arm mechanism to have an alternate design for an arm when the FTC season started.
After Eric and Tanner completed their tasks on the T-Shirt Cannon Robot. They both worked on learning more about OnShape. Eric taught Tanner the basics, and before the end of the practice, both had a CAD of a Fidget Spinner that works. They then tested their designs later when Tanner 3D printed them. Both worked fluently.
While Eric taught Tanner, he also came up with an idea of making specific barrel mounts to hopefully shoot objects other than T-shirts out of the cannon. He started working on those when the practice came to an end. Not only that, but by the end of the practice, Dave and Grayson had successfully made a working extendable arm using a gear and track method to hopefully use in the next FTC season.
