Overview 2/6/26: For the first half of practice the team got to see the new room. The furniture in it is brand new and looking good. This will allow future members to be set up for growth. After this was explored and the room was cleaned we returned to the old building to continue practice. The builders attached the new launcher and started on the new hammer. Unfortunately the parts for the Geneva mechanism were not all sent and will not be in for a few more days. The coders were productive and put together 3 different codes to allow builders to test for servos and motors. The marketers started the design for the slide presentation.
Overview 2/7/26: There was less attendance today but work was still productive. The marketing team set the layout of the slide presentation for the pit. They also hashed out some details for future outreach. Jude also was able to finish the development of the simplified robot which can be printed for handout trinkets. The builders ran into a problem with the Geneva box being slightly to big. They are behind schedule so efforts are being made to finish up the mechanics outside of practice.
Future dates: There are practices still running Monday, Friday, and Saturday. Please keep attending, preparation for state is still working. This Sunday the T-Shirt cannon robot is being tested on the Miami east Gym floor to see if streak marks are evident. This will decide our decisions for attending any basketball games this winter. If our testing is a success we will be hopefully attending the basketball game on February 13 against Bethel. We will be fire extra team shirts and hopefully a few Miami East T-Shirts.
