2/22/2026 WACO Learning Center Donor Appreciation

#5140 attended and provided demonstrations of the robot during WACO Learning Center donor appreciation for the new education center. We talked with donors about what FTC and WACO Aerobotics team does and how it facilitates learning and future career growth. The donors were excited to hear about the various pathways, mechanical, electrical, computer engineering, leadership, marketing, and resource management, that FTC and this team provide.

Demonstrations of the robot went well, despite it being updated. Had drive wheel shaft come loose during the demos that was repaired and able to continue. This constant use was very beneficial for finding this lose shaft and we were able to repair and harden the mechanism.

Tasks Remaining:

  • ball pusher mechanism needs recalibrated to the new positions with the servo
  • The camera view has been shifted, code needs updated for the new angles
  • IMU cable needs plugged in and then tuned
    • Unplug one of the parallel dead wheels (remove device?)
    • Rerun the Roadrunner tuning using new IMU and one less dead wheel
  • Tune the geneva drive positioning
