#5140 competed in the FTC Qualifier event at the Warren County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, Ohio. The first match started out strong, getting good accuracy on the launcher. On the second and third matches our team had a couple of accidents that cost us some major fouls. We believe static discharge from a bit hit caused our robot to turn off. While we were dead on the field, we were bumped into the ball release of the other team and each ball that was released caused 15 points of fouls.

After lunch we came back strong, wiping the robot down with static wipes before every match. We averaged 40 points per game and had good results in the final matches. This was not enough to put us in the top 10 seats at 15 of 23 teams.
We were selected by another team, Juniper Robotics to join them in the qualifying matches, but just couldn’t pull out a win and were eliminated.

In the final ceremonies, we were selected for the Reach award, which was given due to our community outreach initiatives. These primarily were the t-shirt cannon, in the number of places we show-cased the build and by bringing it to competition to show off in front of the judges.
