As an overview, the next competition is State Championships. It is an honor to be able to present ourselves to the state as a whole. We are not stopping our advancements though at qualification. We are continuing to market, design, rebuild, test, and learn.
Coders: Worked on the long range blue auto. They were able to estimate that we can make 4 balls. The only limitation for them right now is time and the mechanical limitations of the robot. For the next competition they will be able to use the color sensors.
Build Team-Base #2: They made a conveyor belt system to lift balls instead of a revolver. They are planning to slap this on the second base when that comes in.
Marketers: The marketing team made a list of items to get together for state. After being in contact with the FTC manager for the event, we have found some helpful knowledge. With this they went through many iteration of layout for the pits. Another note the budget is being hashed out with WACO to get the exact numbers. Depending on how much is left some will be set aside for marketing the other for new parts.
Design Team/3D printers: The Geneva mechanism was tested and worked amazingly well with 70 revolutions per minute. However the distances were off and they need to be redesign but the idea works. One of our CADer’s were adjusting the fill of the launcher to fit the Geneva mechanism below it.
