Practice 5/9/2026

Lets try this again:
This was our first practice back…
We decided that for the majority of the summer, and right now, that we would build our skills in robotics and learn skills because of how young we are. We are accomplishing this by doing our own mini summer season.

The task is to move ducks from the ground, and be placed on a pedestal. We are going through the engineering process of:
Brainstorm
Decide
Design
Rapid prototype
Code
Improve

We broke the challenge into different parts:
Drivetrain
Pickup
Storage
Output
Verticality

After the immense amount of brainstorming and designing and bouncing off ideas and rating ideas. We landed on a robot that will have:
4 wheel drive train
3 duck gripper
Storage will be the same as the gripper
Output would be the release of the hand
Our arm for verticality will be a 4 bar linkage called a parallelogram linkage

We are going with this design because it is simple, well thought-out, tested with some simulation, through-put, and lastly KISS.

KISS is the acronym of the year:
Keep
It
Simple
Stupid

Attendance was Eric, Asher, Grayson, and Dave.

We will not have practice 5/16/2026 due to business of the end of the school year.
